Janome 128 Sewing Machine is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST-est Value Solid Basic The 3/4 size is just right to handle, store, pack and take with you and the sewing quality is smooth, even and unbeatable. The vertical bobbin runs very smoothly without all the expensive engineering and traps to make an 'easy to thread drop-in bobbin' which I specifically did NOT want a horizontal drop-in. Had to look for it. This is a simple basic machine that delivers. Timing is spot-on splendid. Yes, no fiddly thread cutters, needle threaders, deelios, extra accessories and all the other things that complicate engineering and cost enourmous amounts of dollars. From habit, I always take the time to lower the needle into the fabric manually before starting, found this was not always necessary. Unpack, plug in, start to sew. Not a missed or skipped stitch, all stitches are even and well-formed even at the faster speed and through thicker layers of fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best little machine! I reach 4H and decided to try out this simple little machine. So glad I did. My kids have no trouble learning on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect 'take along' machine! This is a great little machine to take on retreats or to classes. It is half the weight of my big Bernina so is much easier on my back. It has very even stitches and a variable speed foot pedal. I had previously purchased an even lighter weight Janome but it had only 1 speed - S L O W and, although I tried and tired to get used to it, it was just too slow for me. I gave it to a friend for her young daughter and she loved it.
